Elige is the first person form of the verb choose, ruta can be translated as route but path in Spanish is Camino and would make no sense, ruta is the best option.

Although "path" is the correct translation of "path", "folder / folder" is easier to understand for a wide range of users, mainly older.

"Carpeta de descargas" (download folder) is much more common in Spanish than "ruta" for most speakers, as the concept "folder" is understandable for many yet "path" is a tiny bit more technical. Either way, if we stick to "path", then "ruta de descargas" would be better: adding the article "la" to "ruta de la descarga" is definitely unnecessary.
