Cancel means to leave or to call-off, which is exactly what this word signifies. The other Amharic suggestion is a translation for 'delete' rather than cancel.

The way the wording is formulated, in the earlier translation, does not address which photo is to be deleted. Therefore, the way I translated it simply by changing one Amharic alphabetical letter - that is "ምስልን" to "ምስሉን" - it answers which photo the action of deleting is to be performed on. That way the command will not be ambiguous.

I added the warning “Wait!” as ቆይ! which was missed in the current translation. In addition, I corrected ቡድኑን (which means “the group”) as ይህን ቡድን (meaning “this group”), thus bringing equivalence between the Amharic and English texts. Plus, I eliminated the active voice used in ሁሉንም መልዕክቶች ያጠፋል (meaning “it will remove all messages”) as opposed. Hence, I adopted the passive voice in the source language in my translation as ሁሉም መልእክቶች የሚጠፉ ይሆናል, thus bringing exact equivalence. Last, I eliminated እርግጠኛ ኖት (meaning “are you sure”) from the last part of the translated text. In fact, this question marker is not part of the original text.

I decided to remove "wait" because it sounds disrespectful in the Amharic language. I also rephrased "Delete the group anyway" to make it a bit more respectful. Respectful language is necessary within the Ethiopian context, so that's something to note.
