Using the past tense "salió" implies that the issue was a one-time event instead of ongoing, and it is closer in meaning to the original message in English.

I think the use of the word "sorry" is important for the tone of the message therefore it should be translated. I also think that "vuelve a intentarlo" sounds better than "reinténtalo".

"Something went wrong" is more easily translated as "something's not working", seeing as how the former, translated literally into Spanish, doesn't make sense.
