This is a better translation because it's Persian. Also, it's a totally familiar word among Persian-speaking people.

The currently applied translation "اموجی" sounds awkward in Persian so "ایموجی" would be more natural furthermore for people without prior knowledge of English or the word's etymology in Japanese (e: picture + moji: character) it would be hard to conceptualize the meaning and usage in the first glance so maybe "شکلک" is a better alternative but may connote other meanings, so I suggest a new word "شکل‌واژه" that even if you are hearing it for the first time you can intuitively understand that it is a "شکل: picture/shape" that encapsulates a "واژه: word/character" considering the original meaning of emoji as pictogram.
