"Vuoi davvero" as a sentence it is correct, but it is a bit ugly to hear and to read. The phrase could be translated to "Sei sicuro/a?", but I thought that gender neutrality should be maintained in this case. "Confermi?" does exactly that while maintaining grammatical neutrality.
