The original text is separated in two parts in which one is a consequence of the other and they are connected by using the conjunction "so" in a sense of consequence. The currently used translation uses something of a portuguese conjunction meaning "and" which still connects things but doesn't say it's *because* of the Two-step Verification that there is an additional password. It's more like "the Two-Step Verification is enabled, *and* your account is protected with an additional password" as if the two things are separated one from the other and not one a consequence of the other like the english phrase.
