1) I shortened the translation by rephrasing the subordinate clause. 2) The Russian version of the 'machine-readable part' sounds completely misleading as there's no generally known area that is called this way. The preposition 'c' was misleading in this context, too. So I rephrased it to fully match the English version

It may sound weird but Russian GOST R 52535.1-2006 defines the machine-readable zone in Russian in a suggested way. But if we need something non-official here, this option won’t fit. In this case, we can use the existing translation for the phrase end.

“Отсканируйте” is a more correct form of the verb “сканировать” that urges action, and “машиночитаемая запись” is a more correct term that is also used in Russian legislature.
